Charlie and I always had our "plan" of how our family would look. We talked about it often as most of us do. We would have two biological children, and then adopt. Adopt one child for sure, and possibly (in my "plan") two children. So when Emmy made her SURPRISE debut we couldn't wait for the second to arrive. Well after a miscarriage and "trying" on and off, nothing really happened...this is when we thought perhaps God had a different "plan" for us. I had always wanted to adopt, even as a young child. Charlie was definitely planning on it...but in the future. So we went to an adoption seminar and although I was full throttle on board to sign the papers and get it going ASAP, I remained calm and trusted that God would also put this on Charlie's heart as well if this is where God was leading us. Two days later Charlie approached me and said God had put it on his heart to start the process now! We were both so excited and couldn't wait to start!
